Altergy's "On Demand" Freedom Power System Exhibited at BATTCON '07 Trade Show

FOLSOM, California – May 2, 2007 – Altergy exhibited its Freedom Power™ fuel cell system at The Battcon® 2007 International Stationary Battery Conference and Trade Show May 1 and 2 in Tampa, Florida.

The system, designed with the telecommunications industry’s needs specifically in mind, features high quality, reliable, rugged, on demand backup power system in a small footprint, either outdoor cabinet or in shelter rack-mounted; low maintenance with remote monitoring/control capability and long life; a modular design available in 1kW to 30kW configurations; fully integrated with AC/DC power capability; unlimited run time for reduced dependence on batteries; and low lifecycle cost making the system easily affordable. 

In addition to the exhibition of the Altergy system, Altergy’s Freedom Power solution was featured in a technical presentation, “A Battery for My Fuel Cell,” authored by David Grupp, Ph.D., Systems Engineer with Altergy, and John P. Gagge, Jr., Director, Reserve Power Americas & Asia, Engineering & Quality Assurance for Reading, PA-based EnerSys.  EnerSys is a global leader of stored direct current energy solutions for industrial applications with emphasis in motive power, reserve power, aerospace/defense and specialty batteries. 

The Battcon conference, a three-day, noncommercial, technical symposium for storage battery users from a broad range of industries, is considered the premier conference for end-users, technologists, and manufacturers.
