Altergy Selected as Approved WSCA Contractor for Fuel Cell Power Systems

FOLSOM, California – February 1, 2007 – Altergy Systems, an international provider of fuel cell power systems, announced today that the company has been selected by the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) as an approved supplier of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen fuel cell power systems for indoor and outdoor backup power applications in each of the two established categories, 1-5 kilowatts and 5-30 kilowatts. 

WSCA, formed in 1993, enables its fifteen (15) participating states to join together in cooperative multi-state contracting in order to achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services.  Membership consists of the principal procurement official that heads the state central procurement organization from the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.  All governmental entities within WSCA states -- cities, counties, public schools and institutions of higher education -- are welcome to use the approved agreements as well as authorized governmental entities in non-WSCA states. 

The Request for Proposal initiating the multi-year award was released by the State of Washington and evaluated manufacturers on a comprehensive list of criteria including product design and functionality, reliability, service and support, distribution, and specific application scenarios.
