“Most Innovative Product” Award Presented to Eco-Friendly Lighting System Powered by Altergy

FOLSOM, California – March 11, 2011 – Altergy Systems announced today that the Zero Emission Lighting System powered by Altergy’s Freedom Power fuel cells has received the “Editor’s Choice” award in the General Tools and Equipment” category as one of 2011’s “Most Innovative New Products”.

The annual award is presented to products which represent the greatest innovation in the concrete/construction industry displayed at the World of Concrete convention. Attendees vote for “stand out” products that they feel are the most technically advanced. Industry experts then review and select the top products to receive the MIP Award in specific categories based on the innovation they bring to the industry.

In 2010, the Environmentally Friendly Lighting System also received the Federal Laboratory Consortium “Mid- Continent Region” Award for “Notable Technological Achievement”.

The portable lighting system is extremely eco-friendly -- it is the only product of its type to be rated “zero emissions” by the state of California. This allows it to be operated either indoors or outdoors with none of the harmful emissions and foul smells of standard diesel powered systems. It also is “whisper quiet” and can be operated for over 60 hours with unsurpassed fuel efficiency compared to conventional internal combustion engines. Additionally, Altergy’s Freedom Power™ fuel cells produce power on an “as needed” basis further providing efficiency unattainable by other conventional systems.
