Burke, Ph.D. has joined the Altergy Advisory Board. Dr. Burke holds a BS and an MS in Applied Mathematics, an MA in Aerospace Engineering, and a Ph. D in Mechanical Sciences. Since 1974, Dr. Burke's career work has involved many aspects of energy, electric vehicle design, analysis, and testing. He served as systems engineer for the Hybrid Vehicle project at General Electric, and consulted to the Argonne and Idaho National Engineering Labs on various DOE electric vehicle, battery, and ultracapacitor programs. Dr. Burke joined the Research Faculty of the Institute of Transportation studies at University of California, Davis in 1994. He has conducted research and taught graduate courses on advanced electric driveline technologies, specializing in batteries, ultracapacitors, fuel cells, hybrid vehicle design, control, and simulation.
