Altergy Fuel Cell Unit Powers Presentation
At Board Meeting of the California Air Resources Board

SACRAMENTO, California – May 26, 2005 – Today, at a board meeting of the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Ron Friesen, Executive Director of the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative, made a presentation using office equipment powered by an Altergy Freedom Power™ fuel cell.

The Altergy fuel cell used for the presentation is owned by Caltrans (the California Department of Transportation) and is based on Altergy Freedom Power technology. Altergy products address a wide range of primary and backup power applications. This use of fuel cell power for a presentation to CARB is believed to be the first of its kind, and demonstrates the wide range of uses to which fuel cells can be applied.
