Altergy’s Freedom Power Systems Earn CE Mark

FOLSOM, California – June 30, 2009 – Altergy Systems announced today that its Freedom Power Systems (548 Series) of fuel cell power systems have received full CE Mark certification.

A valid CE Marking affixed to a product indicates that it complies with the relevant European product safety and operational Directives which have become the standard across Europe. The Directives contain the essential requirements that a product must meet to be sold in the European Union (EU).  The CE marking certifies that a product has met the stringent EU product safety, operational and environmental requirements.

“The achievement of the CE Mark allows us to begin shipping production quantities of our Freedom Power Systems to our European customers, who have anxiously awaited this certification,” stated Mickey Oros, Altergy’s Senior Vice President of Business Development.
