Altergy Prominently Featured in New PBS Special “Hydrogen: Nature’s Fuel” As A Leading “Cutting-Edge” Fuel Cell Company

FOLSOM, California – March 11, 2011 – Altergy Systems has been chosen to play a key featured role in the new PBS one hour special - Hydrogen: Nature’s Fuel.

The TV special was produced by PBS’s Prairie Public Television and was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, the National Center for Hydrogen Technology, and PBS subscribers.

According to Prairie Public (PBS), Hydrogen: Nature’s Fuel “tells the story of hydrogen through a series of intriguing interviews from those working on cutting-edge hydrogen technologies.”

It further states that: “Hydrogen and fuel cells are quietly improving our ability to deliver clean economical energy in our homes, cars, and where we work. As the world thirst for energy continues to grow and environmental costs mount -- hydrogen provides us with the choice to create our own clean energy future.”

Altergy’s robotic manufacturing line, facility, and products are prominently featured in the new PBS documentary. Mickey Oros, Altergy’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, demonstrates Altergy’s products while showing how Altergy’s unique technology and manufacturing processes make Altergy’s Freedom Power™ fuel cells competitive in the world market.

The entire program also focuses on the global need for a clean uninterrupted power supply (UPS) source. It demonstrates that hydrogen fuel cells are already “quietly” supplying that demand -- while other alternative energy sources such as solar and wind fall short due to their inherent limitations.
