Altergy Freedom Power™ systems are fully integrated, high efficiency fuel cell systems that generate power at the point-of-use.

These clean and green, CARB*-certified*, zero-emission power generators deliver the power quality, reliability, and on-demand standby and ride-through capabilities required for telecommunications, cable/broadband, data centers, homeland security and other essential 24/7 operations.

Altergy integrates its advanced fuel cell stack with a balance of plant including thermal management, fuel management and power and voltage management, creating a complete Fuel Cell Engine (FCE).

The FCEs are designed with plug-and-play features that allow them to operate in a stand-alone mode or to be combined with additional FCEs to produce a range of power outputs up to 100 kW.  Altergy's plug-and-play design also allows optional peripherals to interface seamlessly into the system.  Altergy has designed the FCEs to serve initially as a standby/backup power source in DC applications. The system monitors the DC bus voltage and engages when the DC power drops below a set threshold.

Altergy's fuel cell engines feature an integrated supervisory control system that manages the function of the fuel cell, including real-time system monitoring and control, as well as thermal and fuel management.  Power conditioning and regulation is performed by a fully digital, multi-phase, interleaved DC/DC converter that delivers precisely regulated DC power output.

These systems incorporate one or more FCEs along with purpose built interior and all-weather exterior enclosures designed to house fuel cell systems, peripherals, transient power modules, communications modules and enclosures for fuel storage utilizing either standard steel tanks or advanced ultra-high pressure composite fuel storage modules, which offer extended runtimes in a smaller footprint.  Both the composite and steel fuel tanks can be refilled onsite, utilizing Altergy's fill-in-place technology.

Freedom Power™ Systems provide an excellent alternative to batteries and generators. Their plug and play design allows them to operate stand alone or be combined to produce a wide range of power output (1-100kW) and long runtimes.
